How to use these tracks:
-Listen and play along with the sounds of the piano accompaniment tracks.
-If you are struggling to follow the timing, listen along to the tracks that have a tempo track, a beat with them to keep you in time.-Struggling for inspiration? Watch as Haitch play his flute in A along with the piano, draw from this, get inspired, then go back to the accompaniment tracks and play along yourself.

Tips:
After the first few times listening, try not to stop once you start playing to an accompaniment track. If you hit an interesting or edgy note, try not to ‘beat yourself up’ and then stop playing. Keep playing. Flow on. Try rolling off the note and finding one that you like. If you get muddled, slow down, play a few long notes to regain your composure, then journey on.

Your goal is to use the foundational skills taught to you from the ‘Introduction to Native American style Flute’ online workshop from the Haitch Music website, as well as your private tuition and own intuition.

Explore and find ways to integrate the skills and drills of scales, finger patterns, whips, flashes, rolling on and off notes, various tonguing techniques and your breath dynamics. All whilst accompanied by the various types of piano melodies in this album.

These piano tracks are designed to allow you the freedom to free play or improvise endlessly!

So, find your flute, calm your mind, breath with your diaphragm, slow down…
… and put your breath into it!

If you find this too challenging at the present moment or you are still sharpening your beginner skill set, you may like to visit the ‘Student Practices in A (Beginner)’ album which is much simpler.
‘Student Practices in A’ album is a good way to practice your fundamental skills with simple accompaniment from drone instruments and companion bass flutes.
