These flutes are a great option for players looking to share Native American style flutes in groups and over a microphone. The projection of these flutes delivers better than the Australian made 432hz. Being tuned to 440hz also makes these flutes easier to assimilate into classical/contemporary music. All standard instruments like guitar and piano are also tunes to A 440hz. So if playing with others is important to you, this may be the starter flute for you to grow into.
Smaller hands? The very small finger holes of these flutes are suitable for smaller hands and also those with skinny fingers.
Easy playing of the A minor pentatonic scale (the ‘play no wrong note’ scale) is accessed by keeping the 4th hole covered, or covering with the handy leather strap included. Having 6 holes allows players to grow into alternate fingerings as they progress, (without the restrictions of a 5 hole flute).
Product video features the melody from the ‘Introduction to Native American style Flute’ workshop by Haitch. To make comparing easier, the same melody is shared on both the 440hz & 432hz flutes. This is done so that you can hear the difference in voicing and tonal elements.
